EXHIBITION

Davide Bramante

Dì luce

october 24 2026 > january 9 2027

From 24 October 2026 to 10 January 2027, Galleria Studio Cenacchi in Bologna presents DÌ LUCE, a solo exhibition by Davide Bramante, curated by Raffaele Quattrone.

Bringing together a selection of photographic works, some presented as lightboxes, the exhibition explores light not simply as the essential substance of photography, but as a medium through which different realities, moments in time and points of view can coexist.

In Bramante’s images, cities are never simply depicted. Architecture, monuments, streets, maps, landscapes and human presences converge within a single visual space, creating unexpected geographies and mental landscapes. Madrid, London, Tokyo and the other places encountered by the artist lose their apparent unity and emerge instead as complex organisms, shaped by overlapping experiences, journeys and memories.

The works are created using multiple exposures made directly in camera. Rather than constructing his images through subsequent digital editing, Bramante composes them at the very moment of seeing. Each exposure contains others; each place seems to preserve the memory of what has already been observed.

Layering is therefore more than a photographic technique: it becomes Bramante’s way of articulating a profoundly contemporary condition. We inhabit simultaneously the place where our body is, the places we remember, those we long for, and the countless images we continually receive and create.
