On Tuesday 19 September at 6 pm, Galleria Studio Cenacchi opens Piccole foto da montagna, a solo exhibition by Luca Madera, curated by Jacopo Cenacchi.

Madera’s first solo exhibition at Galleria Studio Cenacchi, running from 19 to 23 September 2023, is a small, carefully conceived presentation of photographs. The artist has created a distinctive installation specifically for the gallery room in which the works are shown.

Photographs sometimes freeze time; at other times, they seem to suspend it. In this atlas of imagined memories, images hover outside time. They might belong to a moment fifty years ago, to the present, or to a future fifty years from now.

These are photos trouvées: images that confront us with stories and situations while leaving us to find our own answers, perhaps even our own solutions, privately and intimately. Gathered together in an atlas, they evoke a peculiar feeling: a nostalgia for the future.
