Through his camera, D’Altri explores — without indulgence — the faces of numerous Bolognese figures, both well-known and anonymous. He lingers on them without embellishment, revealing the true essence of each face: its humanity. In an age saturated with selfies, D’Altri’s portraits speak a language that has become almost unfamiliar to contemporary image culture. His subjects acquire both presence and abstraction, captivating and surprising the viewer.
For the occasion, a photographic set will be installed in the gallery, where the artist will create new portraits that will be immediately displayed, becoming a living and evolving part of the exhibition.
