“The works of Andrea – ironically renamed Typopainting – are striking for their chromatically festive and almost gossip-like spirit […], for the lively osmosis between the speckled patches of colour that spread across the surface and the persistent calligraphic tendency that attempts, in vain, to resist dissolution. Yet, without ever fully surrendering, it yields to fluid, almost galactic flourishes, preserving — as much as possible — a certain incisive, albeit increasingly diaphanous, character. In truth, there is nothing to be read; the parades — or rather the disordered, even Babel-like alphanumeric orgies — seem to hold themselves in suspension, awaiting a detective capable of unveiling and structuring the impending discourse.”
