A sound, a suggestion. The overturning of reality.

At the core of the exhibition, in a precarious and overwhelming dreamlike balance, stands Grünewald’s Crucifixion: a point of tension where the grace of buds and flowers merges with a fierce, thorny, almost monstrous nature. Thorns intertwine with branches, evoking both organic growth and distortion — a world where appearances deceive. Carnival becomes a reversal of order, a masquerade that conceals truth, a mnemonic game that recalls moments of unleashed madness. References emerge to Goya’s Caprichos and Bosch’s delirious imagination, in a suspension where reality dissolves into vision. Within this space, chromatic intensity plays a central role: the celestial blue of Amor Celeste Turchino contrasts with the unsettling, almost jaundiced yellow of Flower Noise. The environment appears dense and saturated, filled with sharp volumes, cutting edges, and materials that echo the ruptures and voids of Lucio Fontana’s Fine di Dio. The exhibition unfolds across collages — combinations of photographs, cut-outs and oil painting — where faces are hidden, gazes obscured, identities dissolved, as in a masked procession.

This allegorical procession continues through mechanical structures that rotate endlessly, in a dysfunctional yet inevitable motion. The materials — industrial scraps, discarded elements — are held together through welding, molten lead and adhesives, enabling both technical virtuosity and imaginative leaps.                What appears is not what it is.
