On Saturday 30 November 2024 at 5 pm, on the first floor of Galleria Studio Cenacchi, a selection of vintage photographs of film stars from the era of La Dolce Vita is presented. A number of these works were previously shown at the latest edition of Art Verona, where they attracted considerable public interest.

The entire group of photographs from the 1950s and 1960s belongs to Fabrizio Tittocchia (b. 1960), a long-time cinema enthusiast. After more than forty years of work, he began collecting film stills, with a particular focus on the Dolce Vita period.

His collection now exceeds 300 works and includes photographs by renowned photographers such as Tazio Secchiaroli, Pierluigi Praturlon, Giovan Battista Poletto, Angelo Frontoni, Angelo Novi, Giancolombo, Velio Cioni, Rodrigo Pais, Michelangelo Durazzo, Glauco Cortini, Aldo Durazzi and others.

Among the most iconic images of Italian—and international—cinema of that era are the famous photograph of Aïché Nana’s striptease at the Rugantino club in Rome on 5 November 1958, Vittorio Gassman and Catherine Spaak during the filming of Il sorpasso, and Anita Ekberg in La dolce vita. These are presented alongside striking portraits of Alain Delon, Marcello Mastroianni, Virna Lisi, Raquel Welch and Audrey Hepburn.
