EXHIBITION

Il mio gesto di cura

28 September > 1 October 2023

Il mio gesto di cura is the title of a charity exhibition in support of the initiatives of Fondazione Sant’Orsola, hosted by Galleria Studio Cenacchi from Thursday 28 September to Sunday 1 October 2023.

Opening: Thursday 28 September, 6–9 pm
Friday 29, Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October: 4.30–7.30 pm

Each participating artist presents two works:

Pietro Caponetti, painter, known for large-scale works depicting everyday and exotic animals, created using plaster on canvas.

Elena Franco, photographer, presents a research project focused on 17th- and 18th-century volumes from the former Monte di Pietà, preserved at the Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna. The photographed books share common elements: an image of pietà on the top edge and a depiction of the passionflower on their leather bindings.

Domenico Grenci, painter, presents portraits and female figures—melancholic, sensual, mysterious, fragile—rendered through charcoal and bitumen on canvas and paper, evoking complex emotional states.

Simone Martinetto, photographer, presents works created during his previous experience as a film set photographer, focusing on the often unseen figures of the film industry (editors, technicians, stunt performers).

Paolo Migliazza, sculptor, presents works in cement and plaster centred on intense and suffering human figures, often with obscured eyes, as if turned inward towards the depths of their own being.

Marco Rigamonti, photographer, presents works from the photobook Periplo siciliano, portraying details of a sun-drenched Sicily, removed from conventional routes and perspectives.

Alessandro Saturno, painter, presents works on canvas and paper, in oil and acrylic, dedicated to landscape—visions that appear like mirages, shaped through layers and refined chromatic contrasts.
