EXHIBITION
Fiorenza Puggioni Giori
Racconti brevi
27 October > 17 November 2018
Studio Cenacchi, Via Santo Stefano 63, Bologna, presents Racconti brevi, a solo exhibition by Fiorenza Puggioni Giori, opening on 27 October 2018 at 6 pm.
The works of Fiorenza Puggioni Giori speak of the places that have shaped her life: physical places where she has lived or travelled, but also inner landscapes. Her use of exceptionally light supports, treated with scagliola, echoes the delicacy of her gaze. At times it settles on sweeping landscapes, both familiar and distant; at others, on the smallest details of a wall, or on the private paths of the imagination.
“Fiorenza is one of those rare and remarkable artists who, unconcerned with fashions or artistic trends, gives form to her inner landscapes with lyrical, refined spontaneity. In doing so, she creates new worlds that continue to convey a profound sense of freedom.”
Massimo Golfieri, friend and artist
Biography
Fiorenza Puggioni Giori was born in Sorso, Sardinia, to a Sardinian father and an Austrian mother. Her parents travelled extensively for work and, from adolescence onwards, she accompanied them, absorbing a wealth of images, colours and emotions along the way.
Her work gives form to distant memories, glimpses of reality, states of mind and dreams, as well as everything that captures her attention and awakens curiosity, interest and emotion.
She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna, where she was a student of Pompilio Mandelli and Maurizio Bottarelli.
