Galleria Studio Cenacchi Arte Contemporanea presents Portraits of Architecture, an exhibition by Elena Franco at Studio Iusgate, Via Castiglione 81, Bologna.

Through the Prospettive reali series and the triptych Dēvōtĭo, Franco takes us through some of Piedmont’s royal residences: Govone Castle, Moncalieri Castle, the Palace of Venaria Reale, the Stupinigi Hunting Lodge and Santena Castle.

The works in the exhibition grew out of a period of reflection and research undertaken by the artist during a residency in July 2019 as part of the Creativamente Roero project, as well as a special project created for Art Site Fest 2019.

The triptych Dēvōtĭo subsequently entered the permanent contemporary art collection of the Royal Castle of Govone. A photograph from the series depicting its Hall of Honour was also chosen as the 2019 Castello di Govone Award, presented to Pier Giovanni Castagnoli.
