Ecologie instabili – Unstable ecologies

5 maggio > 4 giugno 2026

Unstable Ecologies. Where Everything Changes opens on 5 May at 6 pm at Galleria Studio Cenacchi in Bologna. Curated by Raffaele Quattrone, the exhibition brings together the work of Roberta Cavallari and Sabrina Muzi.

The exhibition explores two different ways in which reality can shift and regenerate. It asks what it means to look at a landscape today, and what may remain hidden from view.

In Sabrina Muzi’s work, attention turns to the undergrowth. Small fragments and carefully directed light reveal connections that might otherwise go unnoticed. The landscape becomes a threshold, a place of constant change shaped by Viriditas, nature’s own vital and regenerative force. Through painting, Muzi brings into view forms of growth that lie beyond our immediate perception.

Roberta Cavallari approaches the visible world differently. Her interiors and landscapes remain figurative, yet subtle disruptions unsettle what we see. Natural and artificial elements coexist: monitors, geometric forms and ambiguous signs enter the image, creating slight shifts and dislocations. Her paintings reflect a world shaped by the Anthropocene, in which nature and technology can no longer be considered separately.

Rather than setting the natural against the artificial, the dialogue between Cavallari and Muzi explores the tension between regeneration and transformation. Painting becomes a way of questioning what we see — and of drawing our attention to the uncertain boundaries of the visible.
