Momenti dilatati brings together, at Studio Cenacchi, the photographs of Mario Lamma and the watercolours of Maurizio Tangerini. The exhibition presents recent works by both artists, dedicated to the natural landscape.

Tangerini’s small-scale watercolours — depicting isolated trees and dark, still bodies of water — mark a departure, both in subject and format, from his earlier urban works. They suggest a more intimate reflection on nature and its details.

As Vittorio Baglieri writes:

“[…] Reaching toward the sky, the bare branches with few leaves seek life, grounded in a humble belonging within a seasonal cycle that alters their appearance but not their intimate communion with earth and sky. Tangerini conveys this with brief yet eloquent strokes that speak to the heart. He succeeds in expressing a tender intimacy with humble things, imbued with a cosmic feeling that radiates across the surface of these small works […]”

Lamma’s photographs are part of a refined and subtle long-term investigation into the frozen waterways of his native land, a research he has pursued for years, continually enriched with new perspectives.

As Alessandra Rizzi writes:

“[…] the artist-photographer knows that this moment — this flowing water, like the air he breathes — will never be the same again, because it is unique and unrepeatable. Only then can he achieve something extraordinary: he stops the moment with his eyes, his breath, his heart — that fleeting yet eternal instant.”

In both Lamma’s photographic gesture and Tangerini’s painted vision, the moment expands into something absolute — an experience that invites attentive viewers into a suspended, infinite time.
